Not All Carbon Fibre Is The Same

It is typical for most people to believe that carbon fibre is all the same although in reality, there are many different variations of carbon fibre from 1K to 4K which all depend on what scenario you are using it for. Most inferior brands use lower quality carbon fibre at up to 1k twill whereas superior brands use higher numbers of filaments typically like for example 4k twill being exponentially stronger.

Aesthetically carbon fibre can be produced in either gloss or matte finishes and highlight the outer pattern of the carbon fibre material which is typically a twill pattern.

Carbon Fibre Sheets are formed through carbon fibres being woven or compressed then lined in one direction, these layers repeat changing in direction to create it's strong properties. Although, depending on the number of layers and the direction they are layered determines the strength of your carbon fibre component, with this in mind in scenarios like using the right carbon fibre is essential otherwise it could lead to component failure when under stress.

Gryphon has made it's reputation in crafting outstanding carbon fibre products, all of Gryphon's carbon fibre components are made within their own factories through carbon fibre sheets being layered up in extremely specific directions. Gryphon also use 4k twill with 4 thousand carbon filaments in such a compact spacing to ensure their customers receive extremely durable products. These products are independently tested to destruction with an average breaking point at over 4x their stated maximum load and at this breaking point it is typically not the carbon fibre that breaks but instead the metal connections.

The carbon testing that is held also aids future and ongoing upgrades which have lead to Gryphon releasing their Cargo series of drones designed to handle extreme conditions with up to 225kg MTOM.

With this in mind, how confident are you with your carbon fibre supplier?
